—
Dylan is a 2007 graduate of Burr & Burton Academy and a 2011 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College with a degree in Sports Management. Since graduating from college, Dylan has spent time working as a news reporter, recreation developer, and golf management supervisor before becoming a Physical Education Teacher in Chittenden County. After 4 years of teaching he and his partner moved back home to Dorset to be closer to family.
Dylan spent over 10 years coaching high school basketball, winning a State Championship in 2020 as coach of the BFA St. Albans girls basketball team. He is currently the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Burr & Burton Academy. He also spent time coaching various high school and youth sports such as soccer, volleyball, baseball, football, and curling.
Dylan is drawn to teaching physical education and coaching because of the profound sense of duty he feels to leave something better behind, as well as working to have a positive impact on the next generations to come. The best way I know how to do that is through athletics.
My hobbies outside of teaching and coaching include hunting & fishing, watching a ton of sports, and spending time with my family, which includes my dog Shatner - yes, after William Shatner - "Live long and prosper".
