Financial Aid

The Mountain School at Winhall believes in making an independent school education accessible to all families. Annually a limited amount of need based financial aid is available for families who live in non-school choice towns.

All families requesting financial aid need to fill out a FAST application annually to determine need. Currently, over 50% of families who privately pay tuition receive need based financial aid.

FAST APPLICATION PROCESS:

MSW utilizes the online service of ism's Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to process financial aid applications. FAST is the standard submission format for all applications.

FAST provides a need-based financial aid analysis service which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. All information from FAST is kept confidential. All awards are based on demonstrated need.

To start the process, please do the following:

  • Click on the FAST Icon above to begin.

  • The application process is self-guided. FAST has a 24/7/365 helpline available to you should you have any questions, which can be reached by calling 1-877-326-FAST (3278).

  • The charge for the application is $60 and to be paid by credit card after all sections have been completed. If you do not have a credit card or the fee will be a financial hardship, please call us for assistance to obtain a Voucher.

  • After completing the online application you will be required to upload tax documents to FAST for verification purposes. Or, you may mail the documents to the following address:
