Tuition:
Tuition at The Mountain School at Winhall covers all educational materials, including books, technology, classroom supplies, and labs. All students receive a Chromebook for use as a student.
Tuition is set annually by the Board of Trustees and approved by the towns of Winhall and Stratton.
For 2024-25:
K-6th grade – $18,900
For 2025-26:
K-6th grade - $19,550
A non-refundable tuition deposit is required for all private pay students at the time of enrollment. Additional fees may apply for field trips, after-school programming, optional hot lunch days, and other special events.
Affording The Mountain School at Winhall
Stratton, Winhall, and Windham Residents:
The annual tuition to The Mountain School for Stratton and Winhall residents is paid by the towns through school choice. The town of Windham offers elementary school age students full school choice through Sixth Grade at the Average Announced Vermont Elementary Tuition rate. Windham families are required to pay the difference between state rate and MSW tuition, need based financial assistance available. It is the responsibility of the student's family to establish and maintain residency requirements.
