Jasmine McMahon is the third-grade teacher and is in her ninth year as an educator at MSW. Jasmine began working in the Special Education Department at MSW in 2015 and subsequently transitioned to the role of elementary classroom teacher for several years before again supporting the Special Education Department during COVID. Jasmine received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science from The University of Vermont in 2012, but found her passion for working with children was her true north leading her to her journey at MSW. With her extensive classroom experience and depth of professional learning beyond the school day, Jasmine has been recognized by the VT Agency of Education as eligible for certification through its alternative pathway to licensure.
Jasmine eagerly welcomes her students back to school this fall to begin a new school year. She has routinely led outdoor education students and is excited as our school expands its formal program in this area. The third grade is a pivotal year transitioning from learning how to read to reading to learn, and Jasmine enjoys the curious and creative learner that third grade offers. Working with students and helping/watching them grow is a passion Jasmine looks forward to fulfilling each year.
Jasmine resides in South Londonderry, Vermont along with her husband, daughters, and two Jack Russell Terriers. Jasmine is an avid runner and loves being outdoors. She is fond of food (cooking and eating), reading, and exploring new places.
